Dear Summer Literacy 2005 Members:
Welcome to our Blog! Summer Literacy offered us a unique opportunity to connect with people from all over the country; people who have a fabulously wide range of experinces, education, and responsibilities. I thought that this blog would be a good way to keep in touch, share experiences, ask and answer questions, and generally serve as a support network for one another.
I know that I really dislike having a zillion emails in my inbox; being able to post on a blog will allow each of us to particiapte in conversations with one another (or allow us to simply read along without chiming in) without stuffing our inboxes full of long email threads.
I hope you use this space to its fullest potential. Share information, posit questions, tout successes and, if you need to, gripe a little. Please don't feel pressured to participate, however, and remember that private emails are always an option.
I'm looking forward to the continuation of our community!
